The Plasma cutting method was developed in the 50's.The process was used to cut materials which oxi-fuel method could not. Plasma process occurs by fusion, while oxi-fuel method occurs by combustion. Ionized gas jet is used to fuse and remove the fused material. The essential components of the plasma equipment are torch and power source.
